When it comes to sustainability, we have always focused on efficient resource allocation and optimum utilisation to generate maximum output from the resources that we use. Understanding the ecological side effects that are a part of the industry, IOL has committed to environmental stewardship across its entire product development lifecycle. To this end, we regularly monitor and assess our operations to ensure that our activities have a minimum environmental footprint. When it comes to our natural capital, we concentrate on energy efficiency and carbon emissions, water management and waste management. Over the years, we have set various targets and initiatives to measure and reduce the impact of our operations on the environment. Furthermore, we have also taken multiple strides in not just conserving the ecology but also promoting its development through initiatives such as tree plantation.

Energy management, at IOL, is of paramount importance. Our strategy for energy management involves optimum energy consumption and striving to enhance the proportion of renewable alternatives in our total energy mix. We continually monitor our energy consumption levels and apply ways to control usage. In addition to our focus on energy management, we equally concentrate on effective water consumption. At our manufacturing units, we use water at each level of production – from equipment cleaning to raw material. Therefore, we implement several strategies to ensure that utilisation of water is done in an effective and optimum manner. Time and again, we have not only taken several initiatives to raise water awareness and conservation but have also worked on ways to recycle and reuse it whenever possible. At IOL, we are always at the forefront of identifying issues that affect the environment and resolve them in the best possible manner. Therefore, while we work towards energy and water management, we also extend our initiatives in the areas of waste management. We regularly ensure that our waste management systems are effective and in compliance with applicable regulations. Furthermore, our process of handling and disposing of the waste is environment-friendly.
VIEW OUR ENVIRONMENT EFFORTSIn addition to ensuring that our business operations are efficient and sustainable, we also continually invest in the improvement and development of underprivileged communities. Our CSR efforts are directed towards uplifting the quality of lives of these people and providing them with basic necessities that help them to live a balanced life. We focus on assisting them in the areas of education, healthcare, and food, amongst others.
